Narrative Dimensions advances a culture of caring by helping people discover and express their personally unique experience of health and illness.  We promote personal narrative, self awareness, authenticity, and resiliency to enrich the lives of people living with and affected by illness, including patients, caregivers, and health care professionals.

Living Well With Illness Workshops

Living Well with Illness workshops are for people facing difficulties associated with illness and want to increase their understanding of how illness affects their life.

The workshops help people explore and challenge commonly misconceived notions about illness by inviting them to tell their story, reflect on their lived experience, and consider new ways to foster resiliency.

I continue to live. Sometimes illness makes life hard. Sometimes it takes up more space than I would like it to. But it has also given me an ability to be truly happy in the present, being here, and now.

What is the meaning of your illness in your own life?

These sessions are unique in that they offer a fresh, new look at the issues involved with chronic illness. Specifically, they are grounded in the belief (with solid theoretical backing) that it is possible to lead a happy and satisfying life, in spite of the ups and downs of the disease.
